Project Engineer
PHB, Inc. located in Fairview Pennsylvania, recognized globally as a fully integrated supplier of quality parts and assemblies, has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer. PHB, Inc. is a highly automated and technologically advanced manufacturer with capabilities consisting of zinc die casting, aluminum die casting, machining, plastic and rubber molding, tool & die, injection molding, and product assembly. We service many markets including plastics, appliance, telecommunications, electronics, electrical equipment, automotive, transportation, medical, industrial equipment, instrumentation, aerospace, and defense industries.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and quality staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work and build relationships with customers, preferred vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with customers, manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to ensure on-time, cost-effective project delivery
- Provide technical support and direction regarding project requirements including delivery dates, construction schedules, and design requirements to ensure additional costs are minimized
- Develop project schedules and plans
- Maintain project files and documentation
- Support the design and review of die casting tools, fixtures, and related equipment
- Develop and distribute repair orders and master change notices
- Evaluate part drawings and models with regard to customer requirements and manufacturability
- Prepare quotations for tooling repairs or alterations
Job Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field preferred. Combination of education & work experience will be considered
- 3+ years project management experience preferred
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, automotive experience encouraged
- Strong customer service skills and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, while working with competing deadlines
- Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office, etc). Some experience with 3D solid modeling software preferred
- Knowledge of Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA) and ISO 9001/IATF 169469 quality systems preferred
