Quality Engineer
PHB, Inc. located in Fairview, Pennsylvania, recognized globally as a fully integrated supplier of quality parts, has an immediate opening for a QUALITY ENGINEER. PHB, Inc. is a highly automated and technologically advanced manufacturer with capabilities consisting of zinc and aluminum die casting, machining, plastic and rubber molding, tool & die, injection molding, and product assembly. We service many markets including appliance, automotive, telecommunications, electronics, electrical equipment, transportation, industrial equipment, and defense industries.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in quality function – inspection including CMM use, blue print reading, GD&T or equivalent
Job Requirements:
- Quality Systems knowledge
- Basic machining knowledge necessary
- Geometric tolerancing knowledge necessary
- Some advanced math skills required (ex. algebra, trigonometry, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to understand customer engineering drawings
- Ability to access and work in customer portals as required
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed quality plans
- Ensuring conformity to product requirements
- Requires the ability to comprehend various customer quality requirements and the impact that those requirements have on PHB’s ability to manufacture the product in a cost-effective manner
- Review and coordinate the resolution of customer corrective action requests stemming from the receipt of non-conforming goods
- Complete process capability studies for the purpose of evaluating and determining the capability of a PHB process or machine
- Provide quality support to manufacturing and inspection personnel relative to daily production problems
- PPAP/APQP suppliers, changes and new jobs
- Handle revision reviews and changes
- Monitor ongoing shipments: combination of visits and image/test reviews, before ship
- Supplier development: masking, testing, approvals, work with engineering
- Inspection/rework as required onsite at suppliers or customers
- RFV/RMAs: returns from suppliers
