MACHINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
PHB, Inc. located in Fairview Pennsylvania, recognized globally as a fully integrated supplier of quality parts and assemblies, has an immediate opening for a MACHINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN at the Machining Division on 3rd shift.
The Machine Repair Technician works to troubleshoot and repair CNC Machines as well as maintain the duties of a Building and Grounds Maintenance person.
Job Duties:
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
- Determine the cause of machine trouble, plan repair parts needed, look up part numbers, and recommend to Maintenance Supervisor repair parts needed
- Make repairs to machines and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts area for machines
- Perform job assignments from work order form, filling out properly, with sign off in a timely manner
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machines
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures
- Coordinate and recommend solutions to major machine problems with maintenance and machine shop supervisors
- Perform basic machine preventative maintenance
- Perform routine shop maintenance duties
- Able to work overtime
- Work extra hours when called in for emergencies
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Previous maintenance experience
- Experience with basic mechanics, electrical, plumbing, welding
- Forklift experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic, overtime required as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
